1. Purpose and scope
This Refund Policy explains how LIORA may review requests about registration payments made through the LIORA registration flow. It is an informational policy page and does not create an automatic right to a refund or remove rights that apply under law.
A request is assessed in light of the payment, the service or package involved, the facts provided, available transaction records, any applicable published terms and applicable law.
2. Important terms
“Registration payment” means an amount submitted for a LIORA registration or package through the payment method presented during registration. “Request” means a message asking LIORA to review whether a payment may be refunded or otherwise corrected. “Payment records” means the transaction and registration information available to LIORA and, where relevant, the payment provider.
3. Payment verification
LIORA currently uses Flutterwave checkout for registration payments. A checkout redirect, receipt, browser message or screenshot by itself does not confirm that a payment was completed. LIORA checks payment information against available transaction records, including provider verification where applicable.
The account activation flow requires a successful payment status and a verified amount and currency that match the registration payment record. A payment that is pending, failed, cancelled, unmatched or not yet verified may need further review before LIORA can determine what happened.
4. Circumstances that may be reviewed
A member may ask LIORA to review a registration payment when there is a reasonable concern that a charge was incorrect or the payment did not result in the expected registration outcome. Depending on the facts and applicable law, examples may include:
- A possible duplicate charge for the same registration.
- A completed charge that cannot be matched to the member’s registration.
- A mismatch between the amount or currency charged and the amount or currency shown for that transaction.
- A payment confirmed as successful when the related registration was not activated.
- Another payment issue required to be considered under applicable consumer law.
5. Case-by-case assessment
Each request is reviewed on its own facts. LIORA may consider the registration status, transaction reference, verified payment status, amount and currency, timing, the reason for the request, any relevant service or package terms, and information available from the payment provider.
Examples in this policy are not guarantees of approval. Submitting a request does not mean it has been accepted, approved or paid.
6. Factors that may affect a request
The information available may affect what LIORA can confirm. For example, a payment may not yet appear as completed, a transaction reference may not match a LIORA registration, or the requested amount may differ from the verified transaction. LIORA may ask for clarification or additional evidence before reaching a decision.
These factors are not automatic exclusions. LIORA will consider relevant facts and any rights or obligations that apply under law.
7. Possible duplicate payments
If you believe you were charged more than once, provide each transaction reference and the amount, currency and date shown for each charge. LIORA may compare the information with available registration and payment records to determine whether the transactions are separate successful charges, pending attempts or another issue.
A duplicate-payment report is reviewed individually. It does not by itself establish that a refund is due.
8. Pending, failed or cancelled payments
A payment provider may show a transaction as pending, failed or cancelled, or LIORA may not yet have received a verified result. In that situation, LIORA may be unable to treat the payment as completed until reliable transaction information is available.
Check the transaction status and contact LIORA if an amount appears to have been charged but the registration remains incomplete. Do not send another payment solely because the return page did not confirm the first one; contact support with the original transaction details.
9. Registration, activation and access
LIORA’s current registration flow activates an account after successful payment verification against the registration amount and currency. If you believe a verified payment did not activate your account, include the registration email and transaction information so LIORA can investigate the mismatch.
This policy does not change registration availability, activation requirements or account access rules.
10. Welcome bonuses and promotional credits
A welcome bonus or other promotion is separate from the amount paid for registration and is subject to the conditions displayed for that promotion. The current flow credits a payment-dependent welcome bonus only after the related registration payment is verified.
If a payment is later found to be duplicated, incorrect or otherwise subject to adjustment, any related bonus treatment must follow the applicable promotion terms and law. LIORA will not apply an arbitrary recovery or deduction under this policy.
11. How to submit a request
Contact LIORA through one of the support channels below. State that you are asking for a registration-payment review, describe what happened, and include the information listed in the next section. These channels are for support; sending a message is not an approval or confirmation that a refund will be made.
12. Information to include
To help LIORA locate and review the transaction, include as many of the following details as apply:
- Your full name, LIORA username and the email address used for registration.
- The transaction reference or payment-provider transaction ID.
- The amount and currency charged, and the date of the transaction.
- The country selected during registration and the package or registration option shown at checkout, if known.
- A clear description of the issue and the outcome you are requesting.
- A receipt or relevant transaction screenshot with unrelated or sensitive information hidden.
13. Protect your account and payment information
Do not send your password, one-time verification code, full card number, card security code, banking password or other login credentials. Share only the information reasonably needed to identify the payment, and redact unrelated account or payment details from supporting documents.
Information sent to support may be used to locate the registration and review the payment issue. LIORA’s full privacy disclosures remain on the Privacy Policy page and are not replaced by this section.
14. Review and follow-up
LIORA may compare the submitted information with its registration records and available payment-provider transaction records. LIORA may contact you through the support conversation to clarify information or request evidence that is reasonably relevant to the review.
No fixed review period is stated here. The time needed may depend on the completeness of the information and whether transaction details require further verification. LIORA must confirm any service target before one is published.
15. Decision and any refund
After reviewing the available information, LIORA will communicate its decision or explain if more information is needed. A refund is not automatic, and a request is not approved merely because it was submitted. If a refund is approved, the amount and available method will be communicated based on the verified transaction, applicable terms, provider capabilities and law.
This page does not promise a particular refund method, bank posting date, provider processing time or outcome.
16. Consumer rights and payment-provider disputes
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or waive a consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or waived. Members may also contact their payment provider or bank about that provider’s dispute process. The provider’s or bank’s rules and any legal time limits are separate from LIORA’s support review.
Contacting LIORA does not prevent you from using rights or procedures available to you under applicable law or your payment provider’s terms.
17. Policy updates and contact
LIORA may update this policy when its payment flow, services or legal requirements change. The Last Updated date should be revised when an approved version is published. The effective date and final policy wording must be confirmed by LIORA before this page is treated as its approved refund policy.
For a payment question, use the support contacts in Section 11. The responsible legal operator, formal notice address, any target review window, detailed eligibility rules, exclusions, escalation route and refund operations remain subject to LIORA approval and legal review.
